Powerball Jackpot Hits $800 Million After No Saturday Winner

The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $800 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing. The winning numbers for April 26 were 12, 24, 35, 48, 61, with a Powerball of 7. This marks the 37th consecutive drawing without a grand prize winner.

The massive prize is now the eighth-largest in U.S. lottery history. Lottery officials confirmed Monday morning that 11 players won $1 million each by matching five numbers, while two tickets in Florida and Texas won $2 million with the Power Play option.

The jackpot has been growing since January 1, when a Michigan player won $842 million. If a single winner claims Monday's prize, they could take home a lump-sum payment of approximately $384 million before taxes. The next drawing will be held Monday night at 10:59 p.m. ET.

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million. The current frenzy follows similar lottery excitement in March when a $1.3 billion Powerball jackpot was won in Oregon.

Lottery analysts note increased ticket sales as the jackpot crosses major milestones. Many convenience stores reported long lines Saturday as last-minute buyers hoped for a life-changing win. The $800 million prize has sparked office pools and family syndicates across the country.

Should no one win Monday, the jackpot could approach $1 billion by Wednesday's drawing. The largest Powerball prize ever was a $2.04 billion jackpot won in California in November 2022. Winners typically have 60 days to 1 year to claim prizes, depending on state rules.
